NON AVAILABILITY OF CHEAP VACCINES .

Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state:-
(a) whether the Ministry has ordered suspension of manufacturing licences of three PSUs namely, Central Research Institute at Kasauli, Pasteur Institute of India at Coonoor and BCG Vaccine Laboratory at Chennai in January, 2008; and
(b) if so, whether their closure has coincided with non-availability of vaccines for the poor people and increase of cost of vaccines by 50-70 per cent by private sector?
