Monsoon session of Parliament likely to begin on July 12

Parliament’s monsoon session may be convened from July 12. A final decision will be taken by the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs in the coming days,
The session is likely to be advanced due to the upcoming Presidential election.

Parliament will likely meet from July 12 for its monsoon session, during which the government is expected to face a relentless attack from the opposition over the farmers protests demanding loan waivers raging across the country.

As per one of the proposals before the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs (CCPA), the month-long session will begin from July 12 and conclude on August 11, government sources told PTI.

The final call on the dates will be taken by the committee, headed by Union home minister Rajnath Singh, after June 20, the sources said.
