The Department of Administrative Reforms has directed the officers to lay an emphasis on grievances related to 18 departments connected with the public delivery system as the IAS officers and district officials go for night stays and inspection of their assigned districts. The department has issued a wide order in this regard.

Each district in-charge secretary, who is principal secretary and secretary to the government of Rajasthan, is to hold a one night stay and two inspections in one month in any part of the district assigned to them by an issued order. On Saturday they were asked to note down grievances of the residents during their stay by filling in a format of check lists issued by the department.

The current order of check lists issued has made it mandatory for them to accept grievances particularly related to the 18 departments directly engaged in public dealing. It includes medical, PHED, home, education, planning, food and civil supply, PWD, UDH-LSG, etc.

The secretaries have been asked to fill the format of check list with every minute detail including causes, reasons and solution to a problem. For instance, if they note down a grievance related to PHED, then they will measure drinking water position, condition of handpumps and tankers. These directives are aimed to address grievances’ root cause.
