LS Speaker heads delegation to 63rd Commonwealth Parliamentary meet

Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan is leading a delegation of MPs and other parliament officials to the 63rd Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference in Dhaka, an official statement said on Saturday.

The conference which lasts from November 1 to November 8 will be officially inaugurated on Sunday, said the Lok Sabha Secretariat statement.
A total of eight workshops will be held on Monday, and Mahajan, who is Chairperson of Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA), India Region, is scheduled to be the lead speaker in one of them on the topic "Giving voice to the youth: Mechanisms for ensuring effective participation of youth in the governance process".
